open a cuurent account
have a contract mobile
give it 6 months and u will have a basic credit rating, then apply for a credit builder card as such capital one classic or vanquis, another 18 months of maintaning these and u have years of solid repayment history.... i think you will easily obtain mainstream cards by this time.
