Worcester Bosch Greenstar 28i Junior

Hope someone can help me i have asked a question on another thread about this but no one as yet has answered and am getting desperate now. I am a single mum with two young kids off work/school due to school being closed. The other night went to bed and realised my boiler hadnt switched off. Boiler is in an upstairs cupboard when i checked it blue light was flashing on/off managed to turn it off and went to bed. Next morning boiler hadnt relit ,tried reading through manuals increased bar pressure and reset and was really pleased to find boiler working seemed to be making a bit of noise but i thought that was cos i had cupboard door open. radiators were heating up went back up to check no blue flashing lights and found water dripping from underneath boiler. My pipes are all set back against the wall but this drip was coming direct from under the boiler?? I have read what everyone has said about the condensation pipe freezing and this may have happened as mine goes under bedroom floorboards and out onto kitchen wall. I was too scared to leave boiler on in case it blew up or something so turned it off. its been two days now and still waiting for engineer.Do you think it would be ok to put it back on with water dripping from boiler? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Is there a plastic condensate tube/pipe coming out of the bottom of the boiler ? If so then unscrew it but have a washing up bowl or similar container ready to catch any water that may come out. Start the boiler and leave the container to catch the drips.

u should have a white pipe under the boiler...this should lead outside, do you have this?
if so do, take it off the boiler, with bowl underneath to catch any excess water.
get hot kettle water and pour it down the pipe to melt any ice in the pipe.

I had same problem, (hence the reason i'm posting to share the knowledge someone one gave me) the whole pipe was froze but only cos it was on the outside wall. you probably only have a little bit of ice at the end of the pipe that is outside as yours is mostly in the house. where does the end of the pipe go, to a drain pipe?? if so put boiling water down there too, so you may need ladders! if your local i will do it for u - West Mids
