Are you entitled to any Tax Credits at all? Have a look on
https://www.entitledto.co.uk to make sure you are getting what you should.
Does the school have a hardship fund? They may be able to help you with some of the fees for your daughter's last year. Its worth the question - and you may gain from it. Yes I can understand that it is embarassing adn you may not want to ask for charity, but I bet you aren't the only person to ask them the question and at the moment you aren't in much of a position to argue (Sorry if that sounded harsh - didn't mean to)

Have tried to get tax credits, unfortunately they are assessed in arrears on the income received the previous tax year, so nothing this year. With regards to the school I have approached the trust involved, initially quite snotty but agree to reduce payment to £450 for a couple of months, not really a solution.0

OK
ON the lowest figure of 3500 I make your take home 2943.41 ( from i-resign.com) add to your family allowance we get an income of
3063.41
Monthly Outgoings as they stand at the moment:
Mortgage/Rent - £1090 ( this is rather high as someone else said)
Council Tax - £134
Gas - £50
Electric - £65
TV License - £10.99
Sky £45.99
Phone - £50.00
Food - £300
Car Insurance - £42.00
Petrol - £100
Life Insurance £40.00
DEBT:
egg card £13,000 – min £250
RBS platinum £10,000 - £225,00 interest per month 1.456%
Morgan Stanley cc £9,546.53 - £300 interest 1.597%
RBS cc £281.61 min £6.00 1.385%
Store card £2,364.81 min £118.00 monthly interest 1.211% APR 15.5%
Tesco cc £6,587.09 min £200 monthly interest 1.313%
Ignoring the ones below this SHOULD give you a credit every month of 342.43
HOWEVER, you also say that you have 750 a month for your daughters school fees, and also 250 ish for your car. So theres a reamining deficit of 657.57.
How have you been getting to london to see clients? Driving? Could public transport be cheaper?
What do you have to sell? The obvious thing for me is the car, can you do so under your agreement? saying that Ive raised a few hundred over the last few months with ebay, bootsaling, and so forth. With kids you must have a fair amount of kit in the house ready to turn into cash.
How much money are you owed? Time to start taking court action. Why shuod you be double struggling when others cant be bothered to get thier act together & pay invoices?
Id appeal to the school again, and see what better plan they can come up with to allow your daughter to stay there.
Sending hugs
Lynz
x:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I think it is time for slash and burn. Which means you cut everything and I mean everything to the bone.
I am assuming there is a 4 of your in the household. So you could lop off say £50-£75 a month from your food bill. Ditch sKy get the cheapest provider for phone calls and internet.
You don't mention anything for holidays, presents, clothes, haircuts etc.
I assume you have partner can they not work. As any extra income to the house is needed. Anything even if it is stacking shelves in a supermarket over night. At the moment you can not afford to be picky.
I think you both need to keep a spending diary to see where money is going.
The thing is that you are in a classic situation that we all get in to. We earn a good wage and then spend up to and beyond but something happens and we end up right in the brown stuff.
One debt you really need to get on top of is the Tax man as they are not nice. I will ask a el thicko question. Why do you owe the tax man so much? You should be putting your tax money away each month and don't touch upon pain of death. I can only assume you where not doing that.
I wish you all the best with this.
Yours
