    Finally got round to opening this yesterday. Quickest account opening ever - took about 5 mins max! Well done on customer service. Account as above - no hidden catches.

    Is this better than the Lloyds 8% RS?

    Well:
    - It allows you to get more money in a yr into it
    - Because of the above, although it's 1% less than the Lloyds, you get about as much interest in ONE YEAR as you do in the TWO YEAR of the Lloyds RS. But this is mainly due to interest on 12k (max in a yr) compared to 3.5K (max in a yr) for the Lloyds.

    If you have over 3.5K to get into reguler saver, you might want to maximise the Lloyds one and also take advantage of the Stroud and Swindon one. Then after a year, transfer what ever is in the S&S one to the second year of the Lloyds RS. Hope that makes sense. :money:
