Burst Pipes

Hi All,
We are due to move into a rented cottage in a few days.
We went a few days ago to find 4 inches of water in the kitchen and water running down the walls.
We turned off the water and got a plumber out that day to fix the pipe in question, which he said he had done.
We turned the water back on and have a de humidifier in the kitchen now to hopefully dry it out and stop the cuboards warping, which they look like they are.
We went again last night and could hear a noise from the suspect area again, along with no cold water filling the toilet flushes or coming out of the taps on the bath, and sink in the shower room, though we did have cold and hot water in the kitchen.
Shortly after this water again began pouring through the kitchen ceiling from the same area as the previous leak, even though the plumber fixed and lagged the pipes there.
I dont want to move myself and my heavily pregnant partner in there if this is going to keep happening.
Has anyone had any experience off this, is there something i should ask the landlord to have done?
I should add the cottage doesnt have double glazing, but has recently had a new boiler fitted.
Thanks all

Why didn't you contact the landlord immediately ? Sounds like a burst somewhere else in the pipework, and there's a distinct possibility the celings will come down if things are not fixed properly as an emergency eg all water drained or heating left on..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
Yes there is something you should ask the LL to have done. The problem should be fixed before you move in.
The house cannot be said to be habitable if there is water running down the walls. In any event the LL ought to be very concerned that his property is being ruined by water and take the appropriate measures to prevent this from continuing. Regardless as to whether the place is usable by his tenants.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
