I've got a couple of credit cards - I phone M&S and they changed my payment date no problem. BUT, the Asda one (through Santander now I think) said there's no wasy I can change the payment date?
Is that right? Surely I should be allowed to change the payment date to fit with my salary date.... I can pay and they get their money....win win?
I don't really know what to do. Should I take this up with them again?
Thanks!

Try again - you might get through to someone who knows what they are doing.
Might be better to write actually.0 -
In a recent activation call with Halifax changing the payment date to "yesterday" to extract a longer period before making my first minimum payment on a stooze, I had to play pedantic-bingo with the operator that because the payment due date was derived from the statement date that they couldn't actually change the payment due date. So I asked her to change the statement date instead. She said okay

HSBC allow you to change your statement date once per 6 months (I think) for free. 2nd one onwards there is a cost. Helps when it is just after pay day.0
