Hi, I have sent lots of shortcuts that were cluttering my desktop to the bin,as I do not use them, usually always use "all progams".Is it safe to delete them from bin? will it affect the actual program i.e. remove it, or does it just delete the shortcut which can be reinstated should I require it ?I like to keep the bin tidy.

Absolutely safe to delete shortcuts, if indeed they are the actual shortcuts;) They are often denoted by a right-pointing arrow :)

It's safe. Just deleted one and it says : Deleting the short cut only removes the icon. It does not uninstall the program.

If you find at a later date you want shortcuts they are easy enough to re-create

Think of them as road-signs. If a nefarious individual steals the road-sign, the road still stays! :T
