Can anyone recommend a Satnav please?

Hi,

I'm not sure if I'm in the right area, but I need to buy a Satnav.

I won't be using it often so I really can't justify spending much.

Any help would be much appreciated.

We got the garmin nuvi European one because we drive in Europe quite a bit, it was fairly cheap (in the sales £89) but the updates are blinkin extortionate!! (So we don't bother lol).
    Starting weight 17st 4lb - weight now 15st 2lbs

    30lb lost of 30lb by June 2012 :j:j:j (80lb overall goal)

You be hard pressed to beat a Tomtom. If you want a cheap one that does just the basics then the new Tomtom Start maybe an idea.
  • I bought a tomtom go300 about 5 years ago ands it been brilliant, I updated the map last year to a european one (and the latest uk map) for £30.
I have a lot of problems with my neighbours, they hammer and bang on the walls sometimes until 2 or 3 in the morning - some nights I can hardly hear myself drilling ;)

I second the opinion on the TomTom One Classic I bought a few months ago from Tesco for £89 and am very impressed.

I used a NavMan before and find the tomtom far easier to use and more reliabl in comparision..but just my opinion.
