I attended London Metropolitan University and studied Law and the Legal Practice Course.
The university has sadly got a bad reputation for alot of subjects. The administration at the university is not great, but I couldnt fault the teaching.
You will probably find there are alot of students there that will drop out after the first year. I think only about half my year graduated. You have to be committed to your course because they won't spoon feed you there. But the same can probably be said for most unis!!
They were originally london guildhall when i started but having merged with north london uni, they became london met. They have really revamped the buildings and the facilities.
I would say that if you dont get the grades you need for other unis, then london met would be a good second choice. I wouldnt rule it out just yet!!!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
I originally wanted to do law so all my first 6 choice were for these subjects. I had a change of heart to do business and management due to the lack of law jobs around at the moment seeing everyone seems to be taking it!! Therefore i had to use my 'extra' choice to apply for some different universities with this course.0

Hi, im new here
Just finished 1st year of Uni (go to City studying business computing systems)
I have been in similar situation last year when i applied etc
I would suggest you do something you enjoy, as 4 years is a long time. Dont worry about jobs, if you are good at what you do you will be employed.
As for the grades most unies drop grades quite a bit thru clearing, on the day prepare a list of top 20 unies according to your course. Secure as many places as you can then you have a choice at the end of picking the best one for you.
(local newsagents should tell you which paper is best on results day, make sure you go early as newspapers disappear very quick on results day)
hope that helps0
