dad died how do i find his old unit trusts

hi my dad died last year and we are still trying to track down some of his unit trusts
i can remember he had a hambro or something like that unit trust about 40 years ago,
i thought they were taken over by nat west and then taken over by invesco.
my sister has asked but both nat west and invesco say no they have not taken over a unit trust with that type of name

i'm sure the unit trust was a banks only one and then that bank was taken over by westminster bank which became nat west

anyone give me tips on were to look
thanks
