IVA Annual Review- Help needed
I have been in an IVA since November 08, and my recent annual review showed me having a monthly income/expenditure defecit of £300.
I currently pay £271 per month to my IVA, and they have told me that since Nov 08, my property, which I gave up the keys for, sold for a defecit of £15k.
Therefore the amount I was paying covered 67p per £1 of my debt, it is now only 31p per £1.
My DMC want to extend my arrangement by at least 12 months, which I explained with the current defecit, I probably couldn't afford and I am considering registering for bankruptcy.
I have no assets, property or savings, and have a £300 banger of a car.
I lost my job in the last year, and now work for considerably less hence the income/expenditure defecit.I work for a Constabulary as staff, can I be sacked for going bankrupt? Can bankruptcy take my previous earned pension as an asset?
Do any of the members think bankruptcy would now be my best option.?
Thanks for any advice..
