Tumble dryer losing effectiveness

Hi,
I had a washer-dryer, and the dryer was never great - I know that separates are far better but haven't enough room at the mo. However, it developed a fault and was replaced under the warranty. The replacement is the same model, but a newer version.
The tumble dryer has been amazing - dries things in 30mins that it took over 2 hours for in the old machine.
However I've now had this new machine for about 5 months, and have noticed the tumbler now seems less effective. The drying times now seem to be more like that of my old machine, which seems odd.
Does anyone know what might cause this? Is there something I can do?
Thanks.
