Digital Camera options/comparisons?

Hi,
Hope I'm on the best board to ask!
I'm looking for my first digital camera and am getting a bit swamped by choice. Is there any kind of comparison site where you can select features such as resolution, battery type, optical zoom...?
I was looking at the Nikon P90, and trying to decide whether it's weak points would be okay/irrelevant for what I want.
The true DSLRs seem to be out of my budget, but I want a higher spec than your standard compact.
Important features are:
- rechargeable batteries
- at least 10mp, pref 12mp
- an optical zoom of 20x or more (I want to photograph wildlife)
- focal length that will allow close ups of insects, leaves, etc (so within a couple of inches)
- buttons to play with! In terms of changing certain settings like shutter speed, but not so complex that I can't work it out!
- budget £200-300 although not sure yet how realistic that is!
- not too bothered about LCD screen, I'd rather look through a viewfinder and shoot a better picture (apparently the innards of the camera struggle to display on LCD as well as take an instant picture?)
Any thoughts on where best to look? And good websites to shop from?
