Forgotten password for Excel spreadsheet

We had a spreadsheet sent to us. Certain cells are password protected. We were given the password at the time but that was two years ago and we have since forgotten it. We now want to use the spreadsheet again and can't remember the password.
Is there anyway of unlocking it?

Can't say I've tried that VBA password one, I got an error when I tried one before
Have the passwords been put in the comments at all, I sometimes used to do it under properties > advanced incase it was ever needed. I've got some password crackers somewhere I might see if I can dig them out

Sorry sent you PM to say this before reading this post. That was so close. V annoying as it says it's recovered the password but won't tell us unless we buy it at approx £40!

Is the password protection only on the editing of the cells but you can see the content in there? If so, just make a new spreadsheet.We had a spreadsheet sent to us.
