Beware: EDF Energy Price Changes

Hiya,
Just received a letter from EDF energy telling me that the current online tariff I am on is going to to come to an end and I am being moved to their standard one which is over 25% more expensive for me.
Went back onto their website and found that they have introduced a new online V5 which is around the same price as my last one, but you have to find out about it yourself and then ask to be moved to it!!!! Also, it is time limited and can be withdrawn at any time.
I asked why they just didn't move me to the new tariff or send me details of the new tariif but they couldn't tell me.
Why do energy companies always try these tactics on us!!!!!!!

Glad they work for you me but the new V5 prices are 50% more expensive than the previous V5 prices for me. Heigh ho.0
