Can I just say "thank you"............posting about your DH/OH's has rightly or wrongly brought back into perspective just how lucky I am......I've been having a major wobble for the last few days about "life" but I've had a virtual slap around the chops and I can now move on.
Sally - Do you use beans at all in your cooking? I buy a pack a week, black eyed, turtle, pinto, kidney, butter etc....(the dried ones) and then when I have a bag of each I soak them over night, cook the next day and then bag them up into portions for the freezer......they really do eeek out any meat you're using or are fab on their own in a sauce with pasta/rice or in a stew/soup. You can buy bags of mixed ones but they work out cheaper by weight to buy them individually and mix. £8 worth of beans will do the 4 of us about 40 meals."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. Sally, when we have chicken I usually use some of the meat with a couple of rashers of bacon and make a risotto - DS loves it and it's really filling.Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
