Cheap-ish Breakdown Cover. Help!
Hello,
I'm new to MSE so "Hello" :j
I'm looking for cheap-ish breakdown cover for myself (female). My car usually doesn't cause too much bother as my partner is a dab hand at car mechanics.
My main problem is i'm petrified of breaking down on my own and having to be towed off the motorway or in the middle of nowhere 100 miles from home!
The cover I have looked at mends at the roadside or takes the car to a garage. I really don't really want to be taken to a garage, would rather the car and myself is taken home so my partner can fix the car (it would be alot cheaper parts and labour wise)
Also single cover would come in useful as I have access to more than one car. I've seen the AA are doing an offer at the moment- single cover, roadside and relay for £70. Green Flag and RAC didn't seen to beat this.
Can anyone help with cheaper alternatives?
Thanks in advance

It is an inurance based cover, costs £370 -
Also, don't forget Quidco or Topcashback for cashback deals.0

Autoaid for me. Handy if you break down near a garage as you can just walk in, garage can recover you or do the work for you, you pay them then claim off autoaid.
Better than waiting hours for a breakdown truck!0 -
Thank you for the replies. Definately lots of things to research!
I will definately check out the cash back sites like quidco and see if I can get a decent deal.0 -

This is a very valid point. I found out last year that my insurance now included roadside assistance, and towing to a garage. For an extra £20 I got the full cover of get you home etc. They use the RAC.0
