Blackpool - tips on where to go

Hi
I've just booked a 3 night trip to Blackpool, last week July, with my 10 year old son and 64 year old friend. We are staying in a B&B arriving late afternoon on a Monday, and going back lunchtime on the Thursday - so really 2 full days there.
The main reason of going is my son is DYING to visit the Dr Who exhibition which will take up one morning.
Given we don't have long there, can anyone here give advice as to what the best sites/places/things to do along the promenade are please? My son loves arcades so that will be fine.
Also, any good places to eat, cheaply if possible, please?
Thanks for any advice.

Try the Tower, Sealife centre, Waxworks I'd say their the main attractions on the front, you could try the Zoo away from the front.
You should visit the Blackpool website too am sure it'll give you loads more ideas."I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre

Tower, Sealife Centre are good. Wouldn't recommend the wax works though.
Pleasure Beech is a good way of releaving you of some money!
Zoo is not bad, and you can have a kick around Stanley Park before/after. I can't recommend the model village for the price.
Can't think of much else though, and I live here!0 -
Hi,
Take a look at https://www.blackpooltourism.com
Take a look at Blackpool before they turn it into a Las Vegas style casino resort!
Alot of the stuff is expensive but its a holiday! You could always jump on a train to Preston and go to the football museum thereWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
Get a day ticket for the trams and use them as much as you can. Most things are along the front so close to the tramway. Don't miss a trip to Fleetwood on the tram too.
The Tower is worth a visit, and the circus can be included on the ticket if I remember rightly. But the waxworks is a disappointment and a complete waste of money.
I agree about the National Football Museum, it is excellent, and free! Best way to do it is on the way there or back. You will almost certainly be close to Preston en route so do it then. It's worth half a day.0 -
Thanks for your replies guys, I think we will try and go to the Tower and to Sealife as they sound good. Its funny though about the waxworks, I've heard a few people say it wasn't very good so might give that a miss.
I'm really excited about going!
Thanks everyone0
