Should I service my car in this cold weather?

My car is booked in for a service in the garage next monday. given the current cold weather I'm wondering whether I should postpone this until after the snow has gone? anybody know whether it would make a difference if the car was serviced in the cold or not? Cheers.

I had mine done last week, had to leave it in the garage for an extra 2 days as snow stopped me from picking it up. Im glad I had it done because the brake fluid was changed and Anti freeze tested(didnt need changing) which is just what I needed in this weather, they also put somthing on my locks to stop them freezing. Are you having any probs with your car? If you can get to the garage id get it done, I think the weather is going to be here for a while!

I haven't driven my car since Monday because of the snow but haven't had any problems with the car. I checked with the garage today and their mechanics are still working.

I think I will see what the roads are like over the weekend and then decide.

Just another question - I havent cleared my car of the snow since Monday either - is this harmful to the car / paintwork?

It could be argued that with the extreme temperatures it would be of benefit to renew the coolant and anitfreeze. Although unless you've had a leak or it has needed topping up with water a lot since its last service, it will probably be ok.
