Vanquis payment dates by debit card?

Hi there,
I have recently gotten a Vanquis Visa card, my first credit card in years, yay!
It is currently set to have the minimum payment paid by DD, this is £5 for this month.
The telephone automated service has told me that the statement balance is £84.06, to be paid by Jan 30th.
If I want to avoid interest I know I have to clear the balance in full. Payday is Jan 25th, would it be sufficient to pay £75.06 (leaving the £5 minimum for the DD) by my Natwest Visa Debit Card over the phone on the 25th of Jan or would that reach my account too late? Surely as it is a debit card it should be instant, and not take a few days to clear?
I see no reason to pay early!!
Oh, I will also be getting £94 refunded onto the card in a few days for another purchase I have made that has hit the card since the statement. Would that count as a payment or not as it is a refund?
I know it seems silly to expect it to but just curious!

Still can take uto 3 working days to clear as might go to them right away but takes them a few days to apply it to your account0

Hi,
I've been using the card for 6 months and it's never taken them longer than 2 working days for my debit card payment to reach the account. I once even stupidly forgot a payment was due and payed the night before, and it still somehow reached my account in time.
So 5 days should be more than enough!0 -

Good attitude.

It would not, no.When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -
Perfect, thanks all!
