29.9% is correct - sorry for slow reply, had to check how to do it:rolleyes:

It depends how you define impossible - is OH likely to live until thay are 170 or 175? - I know this sounds pedantic, but that could be how long it takes to pay off due to the minimum payment structure.

    Hang on am confused again

You said it was a one off that his mim payment was less than his interest, due to the number of days etc. But if thats the case and his normal mim payment is MORE than the interest his balance should decrease VERY slightly every mth?

The balance will decrease slightly each month, but with the xmas one, it always increases due to the cycle days. Its quite difficult to explain without the statements in front of me.

Thanks Oscar I do realise you are working blind so to speak, and i do appricate your help. It just that this has all really annoyed me, I've finally got him to not spend on his cards and yet still we're not reducing tha balance. And the straw that broke the camels back was the snowball saying the balance would always increase. I do realise that if we don;t over pay we'll be OAP before debt is cleared, and I accepted that because we hope to over pay sometimes.
But having just got things straight ( we even managed xmas w/o using a credit card) this is a bit of a kick in the teeth TBH.

Have you reclaimed your charges from them (assuming you have any) - Depending on the amount, this could make a big dent in your balance.

Funny you should mention this .. there aren;t that many charges on the account but there is some. BUT there was PPI added to the account for ages and ages, and OH mentioned reclaiming this tonight.

    Think we could????

Charges definately - and the wholw amount plus interest, not just the difference.

PPI I am not to sure on - got no spies;) - I know they are paying out alot of them - for the price of a stamp )and then another to ask them to reconsider if they reject it) I think it is worth a go.

I'd need to SAR??? them first as OH isn't very good at keeping statements:mad:

if he SAR them that would give him all statement and details held on him.

mmm gotta be worth a shot.

Dont even need to SAR them, just write to them, requesting a copy of transactions and charges - they will send a printout of all transactions charges etc - if you advise them you are looking to reclaim them in the same letter, they will even complete the first refund.

Then add up all the charges and tell them you want the full amount and interest,

Right so I send a polite letter asking for details of transaction/charges maybe drop in the fact we want to reclaim them? Do we send to address on statement or is there a secret/special one:p Address to a certain dept or just CS? And no need to send the £10 ... well i do like that part??
Should OH sign it or not (like in CCA requests where you are advised not to sign?)
