Unable to access some sites

Can anyone help my mate.
She can access the internet, but any pages which require her to put in a username and/or password come up with the error 'page cannot be displayed'
This includes her 'my ebay' page, although she can surf ebay in general, and her email page, and messenger.
Any ideas?

I had a problem getting on my bank page with mozilla and I installed opera alongside mozilla. Opera seems to be able to cope with nearly everything and has a good email prog built in.0

I've just had a look at the top one of the sites you mentioned, ABH, and think she would find it difficult to sort through as she is technically EVEN less compitent than me!!
