Openoffice downloading problems

I've tried several times to download openoffice and the most I got to was 89% and then it stopped. I looked at the help section which referred to a mirrors page, at which point I lost the plot. Any assistance gratefully received.
P.S. I am having loads of problems with screen freezing and display driver stopping but don't think they are they are affecting the other, but I'll put them on another thread.

    Downloaded no problem here.

Is it possible all the issues you mention are inter-related?

  • really no idea as i'm not too hot on the techie side - understatement of the year - however i sat and waited when it was downloading and did nothing else. When it got to 89% it hadn't frozen or crashed but the download stopped. It seems that I'll have to sort this out first - although I thought I had done 2 days when someone came to 'fix' it.......

Your machine hasn't run out of hard disk space by any chance has it ?

You could try clearing your temporary internet files, if your downloading it with Firefox try IE. If your downloading try with Firefox

The only thing I can suggest with regards to downloading with Firefox is you need to leave the downloads window open (or at least 1 browser from Firefox). As it seems to cancel a lot of downloads
