Does anyone know where I can find an idiot proof guide for setting up a home network so I can view/share files/printers, etc etc with a windows 7 laptop and 2 windows xp netbooks. I have a BT Homehub and all computers are connected to this. I have also just installed a HP Wireless printer which is working with the win7 laptop but I can't seem to use this with the netbooks. I've been trying for ages and don't have a clue what to do. I know it will be something really simple but I'm tearing my hair out.
Any help please

to share folders you need to right click on the folder, and go to sharing and click share this folder, then on the other machine go to my computer, and in tools click map network drive, in the box type \\MACHINE NAME OR IP\SHARE (e.g //192.168.0.2/C) if it asks you to enter a user name and password then enter then credentials for the machine you are conecting to.
repeat this on each machine and you should be onto a winner.
as for the printer, it should have come with software to do it all for you, if by netbook you mean one of the small webbooks with no CD drive then you can usally download the software from the HP website. Printer sharing is for sharing a printer that is attached to a PC directly, thats why i say look for the software., if you tell me your printer model il have a look for you.0 -
