Parking at Prestwick Airport

When looking at airport parking in Prestwick you really have 2 options, Watson's Ayr park (cheaper but further away requiring the hassle of a free bus to/from airport) or in the official on-site parking which is adjacent to the airport, but a fair bit more expensive (£15 more expensive over 5 days for example).

Here's a wee tip, currently Watson's are doing a big upgrading of their facilities and their own car park is unavailable. So if you book through them they are putting all their customers into the on site parking at the airport for the same cost as they would usually charge for their own off-site parking. They don't advertise this of course, but will tell you when you book. This will probably end when the upgrade is complete, keep an eye on the Watson's site for details of the upgrade.

Have you seen the MSE thread about parking at Glasgow airports?

    Covers Prestwick too.

Perhaps worth adding this info there.

What I usually do is drive past the airport, turn right at the roundabout, then park 100 yards up the road on the right, just where the double yellows stop. Free. 4 minute walk to airport.

Must add, I have done this mon-fri(left car for 5 nights a week) for a whole year with absoloutely no bother.

Suppose it depends on how long you're going away for etc

I use Watsons and have found them to be very good. I've never found the bus to be a hassle

ive used watsons (don't think its called that anymore) a few times and its always been first class service, the bus drops you off and picks you up, it knows who will be arriving and when and on what flight,so the bus will wait to collect you if your booked in the car park and it only takes 5 minutes to get to the terminal building.

i would not hesitate to use it again.
