I'd like an iPhone without the grief, please!

Hi guys and girls,

I've decided on an iPhone to replace my old orange contract. I reckon the o2/£45 a month deal's good as I have to move away from Orange as their lack of coverage is getting old!

Anyhow, I've checked out the 'cheapest iPhone' guide and was about to order through mobiles.co.uk, credit card in hand, when I decided to google around check out other people's experience.

Unfortunately, I found the many, many posts on here with people's poor experiences of this company and thrust my creditcard back in my pocket!

Anyhow, can anyone recommend another site that offers a good deal with good cashback and won't give me any such grief!

All advice appreciated.
Dan.

I bought mine from Carphone Warehouse last year via Quidco and was given £60 cash back (was supposed to be £45).

One thing to note however (as I don't think the cheapest iPhone guide is fully up to date on this.) The iPhone has recently been released (or announced) for a number of UK networks. O2, Orange, and Tesco all offer the iPhone so it may be worth shopping around. In addition Vodafone will have them on the 14th.

I've checked around and the o2 deal seems the best, as I don't want to go back to orange and the Tesco £60/mo unlimited everything deal looks good but I don't want to commit to that level of outlay for 2yrs. I also note that Vodafone give a data cap of 1gb a month which seems outlandish on an iPhone tariff.
  • The voda cap is better than orange, theirs is only 750mb. I doubt you'd go over 1g a month though!

Let's hope! Though I'll never touch Orange again. Been with them ten years, thoroughly cheesed off with a combination of poor customer service, broken coverage where I live and work, and to top it all off this time, a cr*p upgrade offer. Ciao Orange!

Last time I dealt with o2 they were BT cellnet, hope they've improved since those days....
