Hmm I think this is turning more into a diary, is there a more appropriate place to move this to or is it ok here??
Hi Losingpatience
To be honest I don't know. I think supporting well-being is important. Of course the focus is debt and money management but personal circumstances play such an important part that they cannot be excluded. If you would rather PM me an email address or facebook we can continue to chat through that method.
Best wishes and let me how the pastry making goes!

Hi Losingpatience,
Just read your diary in my lunch break and I'm really impressed by how motivated and determined you are, especially with everything you have to content with at the moment.
Hope things work you with your OH's treatment & the guinea pig is ok.
Sending you a hug. xx0 -
Don't feel ashamed, you have had a lot on your plate...you will get through it.
Glad that your payments on your mortgage are all sorted - take advantage while you can is what I say.
And well done for getting to pay day! It will get easier as you go along I'm sure.

Afternoon all
Went to the doctors again this morning, they've started me on a course of anti-depressants, have to go back in 2 weeks to see how I'm getting on. Ended up having an argument with the woman in the pharmacy as well. Dropped my prescription off at 12.45 and was told to come back about 1ish to pick it up. Went back at 1.05 and there was a sign up to say the pharmacy was closed! I explained to a different lady that I had been told to come back at 1ish to pick my prescription up and she called me a liar, saying quite clearly the pharmacy is closed and I would have been told so! ( which I wasn't ) I left the shop almost in tears, everyone was looking when she was having a go at me, I was so embarrassed
So I wasted my dinner hour trying to get my prescription and had to pop back out from work to pick it up, just as well I have an understanding boss!
So spends today have been £7.20 on my prescription and £4.48 on a few cards.Going to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!

Missed something off my spends yesterday, a cardie that I bought which was £7
( I did need one though as I've been freezing lately! )
Got another £10 out the bank today and spent £3 on my lunch as I didn't have anything I could bring in
so haven't been that good with money this week. So I think that brings my total spends so far this month to £92.49
My mam's also really tempted me with a holiday at the end of the year, she'll pay for the apartment, I just have to pay for the flights. But it's still going to end up costing at least £800 by the time you pay for flights and spending money and it will use up the last of my annual leave allowance. Technically I can afford it at a push but realistically I know I shouldn't, we're fortunate enough to have 2 holidays booked this year already. But OH isn't helping as he's of the opinion if we can afford it then why not. But it will wipe out our savings and there's things that need to be done round the house next year that we'll have to save for.
I need to win the lottery!!Going to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!

Just popped back to see how you are doing...keep a check on those extra spends!:)
You are sure to notice a difference with the pills soon. Don't worry about silly people in the pharmacy..they are in the wrong as they should have told you they do to lunch at one and therefore you have NOTHING to be embarrassed about.
Take care.Mortgage Free x 1 03.11.2012 - House rented out Feb 2016

Thanks
When I went back she apologised and thanked me for coming back so I think she knew she was a bit out of line with what she said.
Drew out £80 yesterday to go out for a meal last night in town. Got a lift there and a taxi back to my parents where I'd left the car so I could drive the rest of the way back home ( I wasn't drinking because of the medication I'm on ). Technically I could have drove and parked in town, but in all honesty I'm just not comfortable driving through town, there's that many one way systems and bus lanes that I'd just panic and parking can be a nightmare. But by parking at my mams it saved us £10 in taxi fares as we live much more further away.
I have no idea if we have any money left over from what we took out, I doubt it to be honest but OH will have whatever change we have left and he's still flat out in bed so can't ask him yet lol
Spends so far this month.... £172.49.... eek! There's 19 days until pay day but still feeling ok money wise, shouldn't need to spend anything through the week. Don't think we're going out next weekend either so spending for the next week should be minimalGoing to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!

I think we spent the £80 at the weekend bar a small amount of change so just counting in the whole amount.
Have spent £10 on sponsoring OH's sister in law for the sports relief run and £4 on getting some passport photos done for him for his driving licence. Going to set myself a little challenge of not spending anything this week now. I don't think there's anything else I need ( except petrol maybe, so I'm not including that as I can't risk the car conking out! ). My main downfall is buying things for lunch so I made up a huge pan of broth last night which I'll freeze in portions so that will do some of the days. I have sandwich fillers in as well so can have sarnies on the other days. So I have no excuse to spend!
Total spends so far this month.... £186.49Going to get to grips with food shopping again, starting February!

Hi losingpatience and (((((((((HUGS))))))). I have read through your recent posts. Only advise I can offer is to cut down on the spending, just tell people you are skint. This is what I did a while ago now, made a huge difference. I really did just stop buying stuff, cards, clothes etc. We spent less than £12 at xmas. no presents, some paper bunting and ribbon for decoration and I only sent 8 cards, all to people who live miles away and I dont see anymore. It is possible, its liberating too. Try taking packed lunches to work."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0
