mouse not working

hi,i moved my pc today+when i connected all wires my mouse will not work,its connected to a green adapter+pluged into the back of my pc,
when i take the green bit of +plug my mouse into the front of pc it works.
all the pins look ok on green bit.
any comments?

    Sounds like a USB > PS2 converter that you are using, I'm guessing you're using it because you prefer the wires out the way or have no spare USB ports otherwise just use a rear USB

    Anyways, on topic......

    1 - Prior to move no settings were changed ?
    2 - Have you checked the BIOS, is USB legacy support enabled?
    3 - When computer boots up, have you tried navigating to device manager, check for errors?
    4 - Are there any lights that light up on the mouse (providing it's optical)?
    5 - USB adapter could be naff

    I'd suggest removing and reinstalling the mouse via device manager, make sure all cables are correctly connected and no pins are bent / broken off. It should pick it up

  • if you running out of spare USB's, pick up a cheap Hub, save you kicking out the mouse like I did and broke one of my front usb sockets.
