Playstation Network - downloading games

Hello everyone,

I hope this is the right board for my question.

My boyfriend bought me a PSP Go for Christmas and having been a Nintendo girl up to now, I've no idea how it works!

He also has a PSP Go and a PS3 and has dowloaded some games from the Playstation Network to his PS3 and transferred them to his PSP Go. Are we able (and allowed) to transfer the games to my PSP Go aswell or do I need to download them separately and pay for them again?

I read something in the terms and conditions that it was allowable to transfer the games to up to 5 PSP's but they had to be 'authorised devices' or something.

Please can someone give me some advice?

Thanks :)

i haven't downloaded any games from the PSN, but i think you can authorize the PSP go on the PS3 by going to account settings and having a look in there.

alternatively, you should be able to copy the game to the PSP (from the PS3) and it should authorize it automatically for you

    Intriguing question
I have a PS3 and a PSP so ive done exactly what your boyfriend has done

As I understand it, when you buy anything off the store you can download it a maximum of 4 times (In case the hardrive crashes or whatever)

So theoretically you should be able to use it with the PS3 and 3 psps

However, thats the DOWNLOAD limit before you have to pay.

As the files already on the PS3s drive, you should be able to put it on as many psps as you like

I think the 'authorisation' bit is simply registering the psp with sony for when it connects to the net (Illigitimate psps with dodgy firmware wouldnt be able to)
