The Poundland rechargeables are only about 800mAh for the AAs, which is pretty rubbish really.
Aldi did some 2,500 mAh (AAs) for about £2.50 I think. Look near the tills.
AAA Ni-mh don't go more than about 1000 mAh atm......0 -

I used to buy from one or two online retailers like Battery Force but I've found the cheapest is nearly always eBay sellers. You just have to make sure you read their feedback carefully incase they are selling fake brand name batteries.
Uniross are a good reasonably priced brand - Ive had problems with some of the cheap OEM types like GP.0 -
I've been buying the uniross dual ones for a while and they are great. Various places to buy them online.
I've had the ones from Lidl before and they are ok, no more than that, I've had a lot of failures after they are a couple of years old and will stick to the uniross dual ones from now on.
Also make sure you get a decent charger, not just a run of the mill one, makes a big difference to battery life.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I bought batteries from Aldi £2.79 per pack of 4 of AA or AAA or 1xpp3. They told me its a regular line so need to rush to buy.0
