centre parcs whinfell

Hi, i am hoping somebody on here can help me. We are hoping to book a surpise break for my mum to centre parks in cumbria but she is disabled and we are worried there will not be a lot for her to do. We know she will just be thrilled to be on holiday and wont really mind if there isint much to do for her as long as everyone else is happy ,but it would be nice if she had something to look forward to when she was there. She is on oxygen so i doubt would be able to go in the pool but im hoping there might be other things available. Has anyone been that is disabled or noticed what favilities are available?

Thanks
x

I don't have a disability but have noticed that ALL CPs are well set up for those that are.
Whinfell is quite hilly, so a central location would be easier.
The main swimming butterfly plaza is very wheelchair friendly and the bowling alley there is easy to get to. All areas have slopes or there is a lift for Bella Italia.

The Jardin de Sports has a lift too so can access the pool tables and seating upstairs. There are slopes everywhere as the Parcs are geared for families with buggies too.
All toilet and pool changing areas have disabled facilities.

All CPs have disabled adapted villas and you can park outside these all the time.

If you are looking at a particular site, call their customers services and they will be able to give you more info.
I wouldn't hestiate to take someone with special ability needs with me. I have taken a family member who couldn't walk well and they had a blast.
Have a great time, you'll all love it.

Thank you for your quick reply, it all sounds great and is somewhere we would all love to go. I will talk to my family and give c.p a ring.

The disabled adapted villas are very central too. Conveniently situated for the shops

At Whinfell, they use a minibus as a 'taxi' service for disabled guests, you ask at customer services and just have to wait til it's available.
