We've had a grade 4 before and the house was great - sometimes the grade is not just due to the condition but also due to the position of the house - we were quite far from amenities such as naafi and quite close to the runway. Our house was lovely.

Get used to saving - once all the house are Grade 1 and 2's (one day im sure lol), then you'll be paying rent equivalent to civvi street!!!!
99.9% of my posts include sarcasm!
    Touch my bum :money:
    Tesco - £1000 , Carpet - £20, Barclaycard - £50, HSBC - £50 + Car - £1700

lol I know:eek: but we wont get passed Type 4 lol because hubby's a ranker :-)

Hubby managed to get in to see the house today and is over the moon! It has brand new kitchen and cooker, new carpets, new bathroom, NOT woodchipped:eek: and patio doors!! Grade 3 sounds nice to me lol

(but then there is the march out in 18 months, so not looking forward ot that lol)

Its not all about the condition of the house. We got ours moved from 2 to 3 on an audit because of the number of sockets in the rooms, distance from the nearest bus stop and doctors amongst other things. We were happy with the house and the rent went down - bonus :D

We were in grade 1 house up until last year and we were paying less then £300 with a garage at the bottom of our garden. Not bad!, considering what we pay now...
