Cannot delete corrupted file - Vista

Hi - I'm having problems removing Nokia PC Suite from my laptop. Not apparently an uncommon problem. The uninstaller programme fails and the problem seems to be that the actual Nokia file within the Programs Directory is corrupt.
I cannot manually remove it - Vista gives an error message that "the directory is not empty" ( I can't open the directory to look at any subdirectories because they appear to be corrupt)
I've run chkdsk
I've booted into safe mode and attempted to delete - no joy
I've attempted to delete from the command line, again nothing.
Is there any nifty bit of software that might help, or is there a simpler solution?
Thanks in advance for any help
Cheers

download and burn a copy of hirens boot cd, you can delete anything using it and a lot more besides.
Bear in mind most of the software on is illegal copies of commercial software.
OP a quick google found this

It's a tool for removing PC Suite. I've neve ujsed it so I've no idea if it is safe to use or not but it lools like it may solve your problem. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
download a Ubuntu or any linux distro then and boot from them as a live cd, then use their file manager to delete anything.0

Thanks for the suggestion - I'd already given it a go, but alas it too crashes and dies. You would think that a company with the resources of Nokia would be able to come up with some decent software......0 -
You can try fileassassin which is part of a program called malwarebytes, an anti malware software. Be sure that by deleting the file it won't affect anything else. The program is free to download.

If you have run chkdsk, it sound more like a rights/permissions problem, assuming the software isn't locking it in safe mode.!!

Thanks for all the replies - in fact the Hirens CD contained a mini boot from CD XP which allowed me to remove the errant file.
I appreciate perhaps a little naughty (copied software) , but I'll make a charitable contribution as contrition for my sins.0 -
pleased to be of help.0
