I was lucky enough to get a netbook for xmas, and would like to download some (legit!) films/TV to view whilst on holiday.
As I am very new to all things download, could someone answer some questions?
If I download TV progs from BBCi, can I then watch these abroad?
If I use say Blinkbox, is it possible to download films for later viewing, I have looked and it seems you have to view it "streaming" - sorry really am a novice.
I don't really want to buy an external DVD player.
Thanks

Yes you can download them onto your netbook and watch them abroad but they 'time out' after 7 days.

This is what it says on the BBC website:-BBC iPlayer on Portable Media Players
Most programmes are available to download from the BBC iPlayer site and are available for seven days. Once downloaded, you have up to seven days to play the programme.

It's possible to download the programmes so that they don't 'time out' but you need to use software called 'get_iPlayer'.
It works OK but it's not simple to use.
Information is here:-http://linuxcentre.net/getiplayer
