Watch Micro men, very funny tale about Clive Sinclair and Chris Curry (Acorn), It may still be on the iPlayer.

I watched that recently and really enjoyed it. Reminded me of my youth and the old 8 bit machines.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

I remember building a Micro 6 radio, worked just! Being a glutton for punishment built a Cambridge calculator as well, you entered 58008 turned it upside down, resulting in great hilarity.

any of you remember Xonix on the PC ?

So simple -you just had a border around the screen, and a cursor that you moved around the screen to divide it up. There was a ball that bounced around, and you had to block it in.

    Yup!
There was a *VERY* sucesfull arcade version of that from Japan. (My local arcade in Scotland had it for a few months before it was removed due to game content!!)

Put it this way, you know what those japanese are like! You'd be put on a register now for playing it! !>_<!

In my youth i must have put well over £100 in that machine during the short time they had it! lol

    Thanks
It was great, Manic Miner was my fav!
It was odd because you had to press certain worded rubber keys rather than typing the word in, when programming it etc. It used cassettes and they could crash anytime during a long load!! Magazines came with cassettes.

My father when was alive used a Speccy 2 or 3 with his Radio Ham (packet radio prog)
