I've got flipping loads of the stuff! I was making salt dough with my class before Christmas and 'slightly' over estimated the amount I needed! I could sell it on the black market - lol!0

I never thought about DW salt for paths, I need something for ours and elderly neighbours and I think I have a few bags of that in the garage. What a good idea
why didn't I think of it.
As for cooking salt I didn't look in Sainsburys, maybe I should have as I got more yeast and bread flour but never thought about salt, but I know a friend who worked for Tescos said they kept what they got in of cheap salt to use in their yards, mixed it with sand or it makes it slippy. One day I might be more organised...........

If you're TOTALLY desperate for salt, perhaps you could look in "household" sections and see if there are any salt grinders with salt in... LOL...Grocery Challenge 2010:

Same thing happened last year so as soon I saw 3kg bags in a prominent position in Tesco back in December I bought one. Neighbour used half of it the other day as when I got my tin back it was empty
Funnily enough I opened a mortar and pestle gift the other day and there was a small amount of salt and pepper along with it and thought I better put that somewhere safe!0 -
Oh shops like Home Bargains, B&M Bargains, Pound Stretcher etc do salt for cooking it might be worth looking in those as people will be less likely to buy from there. M&S too, ok it's a bit more expensive but if you are buying it for food not for paths it's not as much extra. Erm.....I use the sea salt in a grinder, it can be crushed smaller with a mortar & pestle or using a rolling pin.One day I might be more organised...........
