no salt..........................

hi,
i can`t believe tescos have sold out of boring old table salt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
plenty of milk and bread..... but no salt
crazy eh!!!!
just thought i would have a little grumble.. lol

    Table salt, cat litter, and dishwater salt are all sold out of our local Tesco. Everyone's stockpiling so they can grit their drives/paths.

    Probably because people are buying it to sprinkle on the ice. We bought a couple of bags of the value salt before Christmas for the same reason.

    I'd read about cat litter being used too. Hope I can get some at the weekend. I'm down to half a bag and have 2 indoor cats.

    didn`t know cat litter can be used to melt ice.......i will make sure cat does his jobbies outside now...lol

    I used to work as a warehouse/yard manager for Tesco, and we used to use it because it's cheap, and also works well mopping up oil spills from the lorries!!

    Our Asda didn't have any salt at all around 18th Dec and haven't had any in since.
  • I tired to get some last week and everywhere was sold out!! Went to Sainsbury's on Monday night and they had loads of saxo salt.

    I checked Morrisons last week and Tescos this week and our local tesco express=no salt!

    I use to wash veg to kill any nasty things and i use it in the bread i make. If i run out then i run out and i'll have to make do without.
