Abbey National / Abbey PPI reclaim

Hi and Happy New Year to all.
I have had an Abbey card for years now, which has also had PPI on the account for years too. I intend to attempt to reclaim my premiums but am not sure where to write to as the Abbety card is now administered by MBNA, but was originally issued by Abbey National.
I also suspect that the account number may have been amended too. I have an old statement (1999) with the following address on it
Abbey National PLC
Card Services
Po Box 9769
21 Prescot Street
London
Can someone clarify on this matter for me please and if I do have to write to MBNA, how far back can they go in considering my PPI reclam request as they may not hold records that go back to the time when Abbey National issued the card?
Tks again to all for any advice.

Hi there
I would if you want to (kill 2 birds with one stone sort of thing) write to both, to cover both grounds, one of them is bound to come back and say they are not responsible, its it up to you.
Many on here have been successful with reclaims even from the 1990's so there is no harm in giving it a go.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Tks again Di.
I note on the a-z sticky that the address for Abbey is in Bradford. Is this still current? Should I enclose £10 in each SAR letter? One more thing, how is the matter resolved if each of them blame the other?

Hi there
sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
As far as I know that address is still being used, however as you know post by recorded delivery so you can check the delivery status on the Royal Mail Website "Tracking".
If this did go to the wrong dept then they do have to forward this for you anyway to the dept who deals with these cases.;)
One SAR payment is fine as it should be include all details as from the other as well.
Hope this helps. XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"
