Barclaycard Default Removal Advice please

I'm gonna try and keep this short so bear with me.

Basically i have been in dispute with barclaycard over an old agreement for nearly nine months, i'm satisfied with how it's going and i'm pretty sure the situation will be settled in my favour in due course but here’s the problem....

Barclaycard have registered negative information on my credit file throughout the dispute, which i disagree with and feel is misleading, culminating in a default.

I hit them with a cca request months ago as a matter of course which they feel they provided, it was actually a generic print out of an agreement with no signature which to boot was illegible, the reason for requesting a copy of the cca was just routine, this is not and never has been about effecting simple unenforceability as i have serious grounds for dispute and am actually trying to recover money from barclaycard not just get out of paying the money they are trying to screw me for.

The concern i have regarding the default is that i actually applied for the card online back in 2000, way before digital signing was introduced and as i remember barclaycard never actually got me to sign an agreement, they certainly haven't proven otherwise either.

If this be the case and given the signatureless copy of the cca they provided in response to my s78 request am i right in thinking that i have grounds to demand the removal of all and any information being recorded about me with credit reference agencies by barclaycard?

I'm pretty up on consumer credit agreements and debt collection laws and practises but not so strong on data protection, i'd appreciate any advice from those more in the know than myself and thank you in advance guys.
