leaking kettle

Hi everyone!
I bought a kettle in either october or november from tesco.
its a tall one with a clear plastic strip up the side to show how much water you have in it. Anyway i always noticed a bit of water on my work surface but i just put it down to the way i filled it up excetera! However this got worse and i noticed a trickle from the clear plastic strip.
I threw the box away and now cant find the receipt lol.
It was only around £18 but will they replace it if i take it to them?
I will be a lot more cautious now with packaging and receipts!

I don't think they would take it back as I would imagine on the back of the receipt it states 28 days return period or similar. I have a kettle that does exactly the same thing and I think it's more a case of buying a new kettle rather than getting that one replaced as too much time has passed since you purchased it and you have no proof of purchase. Also, it will have been too used to return unless you can prove the fault, and as it's not an electronic fault because the kettle technically works I think it's just going to be a case of 'nice while it lastest, lets get another one!' :-)0

If you have proof of purchase (receipt/card statement), then they would probably swap it for you. But without, you won't get anywhere.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
