Hi poppyjay,
Is there any vulnerability in this property? I.e. disability, children under the age of 4 or under, or any elderly residents?
If this is the case when your gas meter completely runs out of credit both normal and emergency, you can call us and we can send out an engineer to put credit on your gas meter, this is known as a wind on.
Alternatively we can send a special request to top up device, so when you put credit on the device extra credit will be added by E.ON. You would need to vend for this method to work, however each vend only has to be a minimum of £1, it can take three vends for this to work, so realistically you would need at least £3 lying around.
Unfortunately if there is no vulnerability at the property then it’s unlikely we can do anything to help. It’s best to call the prepayment teams on 0845 300 8144 for gas and 0845 303 3040 for the electricity and have a discussion with us as soon as possible.
Hope this is of some use.

Hi poppyjay,
Sorry you had to hold, the lines seem to be busy today in general.
If you'd like to email with your details, on the address provided I'll call you and then transfer you to the right people. This will stop you using your credit whilst on hold.

If you are on benefits, you could try for a crisis loan from the social fund. This is paid by giro which you pick up from the job centre office. They are interest free and payments recovered at an affordable rate from your benefit.
I think you can get them without being on benefit but pretty sure they dont like doing so as they then rely on you making payments to them rather than taking them straight out of benefit

Hi poppyjay,
My offer to help as above still stands, however I do leave at 6pm today and I'm not in again till monday.
Have you already sorted this?
