Emergency Timetable Idiocy
The last two days have been bad enough for those trying to get into London on GNER services. You'd expect the companies to work together to help passengers but..
There's an hourly train from Finsbury Park to Peterborough which arrives at 49 minutes past each hour.
Then there's a train from Peterborough to Newcastle. You'd expect that to go around 10 minutes after the London train arrives but no, it goes four minutes before!
Example :
1945 - Peterborough to Newcastle
1949 - London train arrives
2055 - Next train to Newcastle
So not only do passengers have to put up with an extra long journey to Peterborough (which we don't mind given the circumstances), they have to wait for over an hour for no apparent good reason.
Bring back British Rail.
