Hello
I made a deposit using a mastercard for £40 about 2 weeks ago, now I have found out the business has closed its doors.
Can I claim this back from my credit card company?
Thanks.

I dont think you can unforunately: you can only do so for purchases above £100. See http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/section75-protect-your-purchases0

The £100 Minimum is for Section 75 claims only.
There is no reason why the Card Provider will not chargeback a lesser amount although they are not legally obliged to do so.
I have had smaller amounts refunded by way of chargeback. I would contact your Provider and request they issue a chargeback. Good Luck.0 -
Thanks Nick
Phoned my provider and they are sending forms out for me to make a claim!
Lady who answered claimed she never heard of a chargeback!0
