I am selling to a blt investor and buying from another btl investor. Short chain but I cannot complete earlier than 24 July as this is when tenants of the property I am buying are due to leave.
My buyer keeps saying he wants to exchange asap which is fine, but now my EA says the reason is that lettings is easier end July than August September time....is this true?. I have refused to exchange on mine before I exchange on flat I am buying

Do not exchange on either independantly of each other (if that makes sense).
Exchange on both sale and purchase at the same time or you could be stuck with either nowhere to live or owning 2 properies.
BTL investors or not, they still have to put up with time constraints like the rest of us. Tough cheese to them, they will have to wait until the chain is ready to exchange.
Your solicitor would advise you the same most likely.0 -
Thank you...my solicitor says ignore estate agents......my estate agent just getting pushy....saying that my buyer is putting pressure on as he is a "good buyer" and needs to complete sooner so he can get tenants??? do they all disappear in August!0
