Wireless card not working-radio disabled!

Options
Had a wireless networking at home for over a year with no problems (Belkin ADSL Modem/Router connect to upstairs PC and Dell wireless card in laptop). All of a sudden the laptop is not picking up any available wireless networks in range.

In the control panel for the network card on the laptop it states under 'link status' that the radio is disabled. Presumably this is the problem, question is how do I enable the radio?

I have run the cmd/ipconfig check and it confirms that the media is disconnected.

I have checked the settings on my router though the 192.168.2.1 and it seems to confirm that the wireless is working.

That's as far as my computer knowledge goes, i have read the sticky thread and couldn't find any answers, can anyone help?

Is the wireless card built-in..Do you have a F key with a wireless icon on it, Press Fn + F2??

Thanks, worked a treat. I presume the reverse turns the card off.

My little boy managed to turn it off whilst hitting the keyboard yesterday.
