Mamma Mia Metro Radio Arena Weather Conditions

I was due to go to see Mamma Mia yesterday 6th January 2010 but due to adverse weather conditions it was not safe to travel. The Metro Radio Arena website previously had a notice stating that ticket exchanges would be made for people who could not attend the event due to adverse weather. The website went on to list dates which exchanges would be done/made for; dates were listed prior to 6th January 2010 so we assumed that the same rule would apply for yesterday and the website would be updated at a later date. I tried continually to speak to 'a person' at the Arena but kept getting through to automated services so could not confirm the situation with anybody in person. 06.01.10 was one of the worst days weather wise that we have experienced so we were almost sure that they would offer ticker exchanges for this date. My sister also heard it announced on Metro Radio yesterday that exchanges would be done. I have since gone onto the Metro Radio Arena website today and they are now stating nothing about exchanges and saying that the shows will NOT be cancelled due to the weather. They are basically saying that although the carpark is closed the arena is still accessible and the main routes are clear around about and the fact that 90% of their staff have made it into work. I am so annoyed, there is steam coming from my ears! How can they ask people to risk their lives to attend an event and not offer a refund or exchange? I have since tried to contact the arena - again to no avail, it is all automated! Has anyone else had this problem and have they got anywhere with it?? :(
