Wheres best/cheapest to go?

Me and my boyfriend were looking to go on a two night break in the UK over easter. We are 16 and 17 and we need to be able to get there cheaply by train or coach, we'd like to go somewhere with a beach and a little shopping area and we're looking to do this as cheaply as possible. So far we've looked at southport which seems nice but travels on the expensive side.

any help is appreciated xx

    thanks!

forgot to say! we're based in walsall, which is close to birmingham so that is the train station/coach base we'd be looking to travel from

sorry to spoil your fun hun and i hope u find somewhere but u may struggle in some places because u r below 18 i'm sure u will find somewhere though hun
  • Aberystwyth is always lovely, lots of nice beaches around, and you can get advance train fares from Birmingham for about £20. There is a really nice hostel here which is far nicer than most B&Bs / Hotels, called Maes-Y-Mor: I stayed there one night before I moved up here as I was looking for work, stayed there with my boyfriend in a really nice room with an iron bedstead! Was amazed for £40. It's only classified as a hostel because it is self catering, has a sweet kitchen though. Their website, if I'm allowed to post it, is http://www.maesymor.co.uk/
