hi,
I have decided to replace my CRT monitor with an LCD/ TFT flat panel. thinking 20 inch
budget of up to £180, not a gamer, but I want a nice spec one. I have spent hours trawling the net and there are many to choose from, the front runner is an IIyama prolite, followed by viewsonic and samsung. any thoughts to help me make up my mind.
regards

Some reviews for you... Samsung seems to be the manufacturer to get the most thumbs up on this forum.0

I use a Samsung 22" 226BW-widescreen and is very good. I also have a Viewsonic 19" 4:3 ratio.
The Viewsonic has much better colour reproduction and can be viewed at any angle and there is no colour shift. The Samsung has a colour shift. The Viewsonic was under £500 and the Samsung about £250. What do you wish to use it for and do you need to calibrate it for colour reproduction.0 -
I got my hubby this one - £135. it's very nice.

Just remember that screen height determines the image size, so a 17" diag. old shape monitor, needs a wide of just under 21", but say 20" because the CRT's visible area di not fill the whole screen.0
