Rollercoaster tycoon 3

does anyone know how i can get rollercoaster tycoon 3 to work on windows vista? i have tried many methods but none of them work and as there looks like no more games of this kind coming out soon i really would like to get this one back on again
any help would be greatly appreciated

I've tried on Vista (32 bit) and 7 (64 bit), and while it loads and plays, it does bomb out a lot, even with latest patches and compatibility mode. Managed to make it run more reliabily by extracting some dll's from DX in to the program folder, but still crashes out anything from 5 mins to 1hr in to the game (doesn't appear to be any log file created either)

Have you tried google? There appears to be a patch to get it to run

Links no longer work. I think thats the same patch which I installed. As said above, game now plays but does crash. Maybe you'll have better luck.

run in compatibility mode? try different compability settings?

i had this issue, i was sneaky and installed a crack intended for illegal torrents and it worked, never had any crashes (well a few people died in game but the game continued to run)
