My gas flame has suddenly changed. Be aware

As a scientist I can see that the calorific value of my gas coming to the hob has been changed this afternoon. I believe that this is due to the forthcoming potential gas shortage and the supply has changed

Less efficient gas burning and I can describe it as a floppy sort of flame. Be aware folks

    The change in calorific value are tiny.

    It is more likely your boiler is modulating.(the output decreases)

    Strange I thought that a scientist was someone who used proper scientific methods! If the calorific value really has changed, you will be charged accordingly - more info here.
